by In the last three days, I have been meditating on some very notable scriptures, two of which stood out in my heart owing to the challenges I have been passing through of recent, knowing that the Almighty father is still in control of the affairs of my life, and will in His great providence and mercy restore all the lost years and all the lost spiritual and physical assets to my life.
The first of the two
scriptures, which I love the entire portion of it, was found in the blessed
book of psalms, the 103rd chapter and the 7th verse: “He made his ways known unto Moses, and His
acts unto the Children of Israel”. This made me realize that I had not
fully known the Lord or better still, I had not fully come to the realization
of the full personality of my Lord and my savior, I have since, then been
asking Him to reveal Himself the more unto me, that I might know Him
and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering… My cry has been and will be “O! Lord, make your ways known to me”
The second and very important of the scripture which made a remarkable impression in my soul, and has made me continually pour out my soul before God is in the most blessed book of psalms the 77th chapter and the 9th verse: “ Hath the Lord forgotten to be gracious?, hath he in his anger shut up his tender mercy?”
This I believe is the most remarkable promise that God ever gave in the scripture to every believer going through one challenge or the other. The more I look into these scriptures, the more I see the light of what God is saying, and the more His mercy, love and righteousness prevail.
Today, just as I began to look through my old pictures I noticed how well built I was, how my skin shone and how fat I was compared to my present skinny body. Yes I have lost a lot of weight and stature, not just that, so many difficulties in my body. To prove as if that is enough, I have even been quiet discouraged in my soul for days and weeks, yet the question keeps ringing in my heart saying “hath the Lord forgotten?”.
In the midst of all of these challenges I feel the Lord in His great mercy and Love towards me saying “I have not forgotten to be gracious to you, I have not forgotten how to meet your needs, I have not forgotten how to make you healthy again, I have not forgotten to meet all your spiritual and physical deficiencies, I have not forgotten to be gracious and my mercies endures forever”
Beloved, God allows His children to go through certain phase of trials, but in the midst of all of this trial and difficulties, when all hope seems to be lost, when no one seems to care about our plights and what we are going through, the heavenly and faithful father who will not forsake His own children says “I have not forgotten to be gracious and my mercy endures forever”
How good is it to know that our heavenly father cares and He neither sleeps nor slumber, or the fact that our heavenly Father is still the father to the fatherless and helper to the poor, or that He is as father pities His own children, He pities us and He is gracious towards us still.
I know what it means to cry, and I also know what it means for our gracious heavenly father to show up, you may be like me, weeping all day long, your afflictions seems not ending even when you have been a faithful and obedient child of the most high – yet heaven seems shut up at your cry, ha! I know, but I say the Lord has not forgotten, for your weeping may indeed endure for a night but your joy doubtlessly shall come before morning.
Beloved, have you been petitioning God about a matter? , relax, He has not forgotten how to answer prayers and in due season, your seed of tears shall turn into bountiful harvest. The lord hears the cry of the righteous and delivers them from all of their troubles. In your crisis, hold on beloved, He has not forgotten – many are indeed your afflictions, but be sure there is certainly a father who has not forgotten you.
Finally I want to say He has not forgotten how to save the unsaved nations and heathen, so I say in the most confident way, that the Lord will save India, and this generation, He has not in anger shut up His tender mercies towards us. Dear friend, how deep do you think you are in sin, that you cannot be forgiven, hear my Father’s word for you “though your sins may be red as scarlet, you shall be white as snow” – for the Lord has not forgotten how to wash away all sins and your case won’t be an exception, the blood of Christ is more than enough to save your soul from the horrible pit of sin and establish you upon the solid rock. Simply call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and confess to Him of all your sinful ways, ask Him to come into your life, I can assure you that all your sins will be forgotten for He is mighty to save.
Call unto the Lord today, oh ye backsliders for God hath not forgotten how to
restore His children when they fall.
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. – IS. 49:15 The Lord has not forgotten you!
